Feleecia Guillen (she/her/ella)
Director of Communications & Outreach
Feleecia is an environmental justice organizer based in New Mexico. As a prominent member of UNM LEAF and Youth United for Climate Crisis Action (YUCCA), Feleecia has committed her life to advocating for environmental justice, societal change, and liberation. With deep roots in the Land of Enchantment, Feleecia has always been driven by a profound connection to her human and non-human relatives as well as the landscapes, communities, and cultures of the state. She has played a pivotal role in pressuring the University of New Mexico to divest from fossil fuels, recognizing the critical need to align institutional investments with environmental and social responsibility. She firmly believes that divestment is a crucial step in addressing the climate crisis, especially for frontline communities in NM. She will continue to push UNM to take action by divesting from fossil fuels and declaring a climate emergency.
